Q: Is CBD edibles the same as THC?

A: THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is a cannabinoid that makes an individual euphoric and intoxicated (or high). CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid that might have some therapeutic benefit, although more research is needed to confirm its potential medical use. There is a wide range of edible cannabis products.

Q: What is CBD, and what are its benefits?

A: CBD stands for Cannabidiol – which is one of the many compounds found in cannabis. It offers relief from pain, inflammation, anxiety, and other conditions without the “high” effects of feeling lethargic or otherwise inhibited. It is excellent for treating a wide range of conditions, including osteoarthritis, diabetes, chronic pain, PTSD, depression, and other neurological disorders.

Check out our blog to learn more about CBD benefits.

Q: What are the effects of edibles vs. the effects of smoking?

A: To put it simply, it all depends on how your body metabolizes cannabis. When you ingest an edible, it is metabolized by the liver and converted to 11-hydroxy-THC. That metabolite is effective at crossing the blood-brain barrier, which will result in a more intense high. When smoking or vaping, cannabis undergoes a different metabolic process, passing directly to the brain. This causes a faster high that will diminish more quickly.

Q: How much should I ingest when consuming edibles?

A: Start with a low dose of 5 milligrams of THC and wait two hours before consuming any more cannabis. Your digestive system processes cannabis slowly, especially if you’ve already eaten a substantial meal. Once inside your liver, THC is converted into another chemical called 11-hydroxy-THC, which is actually more potent.

Q: What can I do to counteract a too-intense cannabis high?

A: Don’t Panic; most symptoms of “greening out” (imbibing too much cannabis) will dissipate within minutes to hours, with no lasting effects beyond a little grogginess. Give it some time and these feelings will eventually pass. Try to keep yourself distracted so you do not focus on the intense high.

To help you deal with the intense high, a simple household ingredient found in kitchens and restaurants everywhere, black pepper, can come to your rescue. Many swear by the black pepper trick, even Neil Young! Just sniff or chew on a few black peppercorns, providing almost instant relief.

CBD is another great solution to help battle your intense high. CBD can be used to counteract an intense high caused by THC.

However, if you are feeling alarmingly uncomfortable, you can always seek medical attention and tell a doctor that you are having a cannabis-induced anxiety attack.

Q: What is a cannabis tincture used for?

A: Cannabis oil is a great way to get the effects of THC and CBD without smoking weed. It can reduce nausea, pain, and vomiting from cancer treatments as well as help treat acne with its anti-inflammatory properties.

Q: What are tinctures made of?

Tinctures are made with grain alcohol and typically provided in a dropper bottle. Placing a few drops under your tongue will immediately give the desired effects. If you have a serious medical condition, tinctures are an effective alternative to smoking weed or eating edibles that take longer to work their magic on your body.

Q: What is Phoenix Tears Oil used for?

A: Phoenix Tears Oil, also known as Rick Simpson Oil treats some of the most pharmaceutical-prescribed ailments in North America today. Rick Simpson, who is the man who developed this incredible oil, says the plant’s chemical effects have been proven to safely and successfully treat “skin conditions, cancer, diabetes, infections, glaucoma, arthritis, chronic back pain, burns, ulcers, warts, moles, any condition involving mutating cells, migraine headaches, asthma, insomnia, anxiety, and depression”.

The medicine also works to regulate your weight, heal scar tissue, and rejuvenate vital organs— all without the dangerous and deadly side effects of pharmaceutical drugs.

Q: How do I take Phoenix Tears Oil to treat Cancer?

A: To treat brain, lung, prostate, and other internal cancers, you would ingest the Phoenix Tears Oil. Rick Simpson, the creator of this oil, recommends that you ingest 60 grams of Phoenix Tears Oil in 90 days. It is recommended to start with three doses per day, each the size of half a piece of short-grain rice.

After you become accustomed to it (generally about 4 days), you can double the medicine. It generally takes people about 5 weeks to build up to 1 gram a day. Once at this dose, they should continue to take it until their cancer disappears. The oil will do two things, it will either cure your cancer or, if the cancer is too far progressed, it will lessen the pain so you can be comfortable in your last days.

If treating skin cancer, apply the oil topically to the area and cover it with a bandaid. Keep re-applying and bandaging the area every three to four days. The skin cancer should vanish. After the cancer has disappeared, treat the area for an additional two weeks to ensure all cancer cells are dead. Rick Simpson’s skin cancer disappeared in 4 days, and severe cases can take up to 3 weeks. Cannabis oil can also be applied to unhealthy warts and moles using the same method.

Q: What is the difference between cannabis concentrate and tincture?

A: CBD tinctures are produced by steeping cannabis flowers or isolates in a high-proof grain alcohol and then applying low heat for a significant period. A CBD concentrate is made by extracting cannabis flower or biomass into oil through hydrocarbon, CO2, or alcohol.
